Install the app. Start it. Click Select VR Content.

Click Select Avatars

You are now in the avatar 3D gallery.

The first one is Frankie Saturno. The blue square outline means that this avatar is yours, because it’s free or you bought it online. Lady Sada is the second free avatar, so it has a blue outline, too. Click the ‘confirm’ button to choose the avatar that you will use for your performance on stage. Other avatars without blue outline can’t be used, so they don’t show a confirm button.

There are two kinds of avatars : regular or selfies. Selfies are regular avatars that have been modified to show your 3D face, or have been created specially for you if you bought a custom made one. We’ll explain in detail how to create your selfie avatar in THAT SECTION.
In the top left corner of the app window, you can click on the white face icon to toggle from Regular avavatar gallery, to Selfie avatar gallery.

Once you have confirmed you avatar, you can click on ‘back’ button.
You have now 2 options : prepare a ‘normal mode’ or ‘HQ mode’ performance.

Normal mode

Let you create a Karaoke media file playlist, and execute it on whatever stage you want. This mode has a lot of possibilities, and you can choose any kind of Karaoke songs, Midi ones in particular. If you click on Normal Mode, you can then select your Stage.

Here is the Stage Gallery, where you can select on the left the artists or locations (theaters, stadiums, festivals, etc…), and on the right a display of each tour (or festival edition) stage design that we have re-created.
Like the Avatars, blue outlines around a stage means that you own it, and the file is present on your disk drive. Confirm the one you want to use, because it will be needed to get access in the virtual performance.
Now in Normal Mode, you must create a playlist, even with only one song. In the previous menu, click on ‘select songs’. A green checkmark has been added to ‘select stages’, indicating that this step is done.

HQ mode

This mode can only execute Combos. A Combo is a bundle of 3 elements : a song (only a mp4 karaoke file from our partner Karafun, that have been recorded by professional musicians), a Stage, and a Light Show system, related to that particular stage. HQ Mode integrates in background an edited and synced timeline of events, related to a specific song (for instance in our demo, ‘We Are the Champions’). These events can be applause, light dimming and animations, flames, smoke, animated dancers, projected videos, etc… While the Regular mode only have automatic looping visual effects synced to the beat, Combos visual effects can change with each part of the song, and can put more emphasis, all kind of things that occurs in a real show.

Select in the Pop Up Menu one of the two free demos of combo mode available.

Setup mode

Select the Microphone that you want to use for the performance (if not, the Avatar won’t have any lipsync animation). At start, Graphics Quality is set to Medium. Choose lower quality if you want smoother experience, or higher quality if you have a powerful card.
You can let VR Active unchecked if you want to make a performance without a headset.

Now On Stage button must be active. Click on it, and go !
